Bigg Boss 3 contestant Tanaaz Irani is excited to be directing her new play, titled Selfie The Play.
With an all woman cast, she says it is nothing like anything she has ever done before.
Kishwer Merchant, Swetha Gulati Priya Malik and Dimple Shah will star in the anticipated play.
Tanaaz will also act alongside this all-female cast.
The play is being produced by Paritosh Painter, who has written several Bollywood movies, including 2007 comedy, Dhamaal.
While not much else has been revealed about her upcoming project, Tanaaz insists that it will be the experience of a lifetime for her audience.
The film and TV actress has done a number of memorable roles in Bollywood, including Ruby from 36 China Town.
The Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) actress directed her first play fifteen years ago. It was a Sandeep Sikhand’s production called Ask What Fathers Say.
She then went to to direct her second production, Dhoom Macha De, nine years ago.
She has now decided to return to the role of a director for the third time.
Making an entry into directing after almost a decade, Tanaaz promises her audience that her play will be a very unique experience.
She says: “Though I have directed two plays before, this is a completely different experience. In fact, an experience of a lifetime.
“We have got a terrific script and an amazing cast. I am extremely happy with how it is turning out to be.”
Tanaaz has been keeping her much waiting fans updated about the production on Instagram.
She has posted pictures the team’s activity from behind the scenes and in rehearsals of Selfie.
The actress other recent projects include her role on Zee TV’s top rated prime time soap drama Jamai Raja.
She plays the role of Resham Chachi replacing her sister in law, Delnaaz Irani.
Selfie The Play premiers on August 12 in Bhaidas Auditorium.
